WHY GIVE TO CHILDNET?

For over 37 years, ChildNet has dedicated itself to providing thousands of young people and their families throughout California with the tools necessary to make a fresh start. ChildNet’s programs have evolved from a small home for boys to an integrated, multi-service youth and family agency, providing high-quality programs for troubled children and parents.

Yet, even with modest increases in private support we have been unable to offset the impact of decreasing government funding available to us for services. The ChildNet Youth and Family Fund (“ChildNet Fund”) is an annual giving campaign specifically created to help us.

  • Lessen our dependence on government funding for vital services and goods, and
  • Sustain and maintain control over the quality of our programs.

The ChildNet Fund will cover a range of ChildNet’s needs. Our services require financial support in order to

  • Hire the very best professional staff
  • Develop the quality programs and services to meet the needs of children who have been abused and neglected, and
  • Provide assistance and training to help the parents who have abused and neglected their children to find a better way.

Specifically, your dollars will provide support for:

  • Scholarships and Student Assistance
  • Sports, Music and Art Programs
  • Therapeutic Recreation
  • Clothing
  • Transportation/Vehicles (VANS)
  • Carpeting for our Schools
  • Facility Maintenance
  • Medical/Dental Services
  • Textbooks
  • Indigent Clients
  • Household Items

Over the years, ChildNet’s commitment to developing and sustaining its “Continuum of Care” programs has effectively provided for thousands of troubled children and their families. Our goal has always been to offer these children a safe residential environment and, when possible, return them home. Strong and stable families for these young people means a strong and stable community for all of us. Your help will make a great difference to the children ChildNet serves. With your help, we won't let them down.
